Objective

This is a skill-oriented course based on introduction of fundamental management issues.
After the course participants will be able to:
•  Describe roles and functions of performance appraisal in human resource management in an organization
•  Establish an appropriate performance appraisal system for managing organizational performance.
•  Apply necessary skills for effective facilitation, consultation and job coaching, interview and feedback skills

Course Content
The course is conducted in 5 Sessions with the following topics:

Session 3: Building a performance management system using BSC
Session 4. Building a performance management system using BSC (cont.)

Target Audience
People with at least 2 years experience in areas of human resources management or middle management, who have undergone a training course on fundamentals of HR management systems.

•  Review of MBO methodologies
•  Overview of Balanced Scorecard approach (BSC)
•  Benefits of using BSC in management: practices in businesses
•  Tools for appraisal in BSC
•  Key Performance Indicators (KPI): development methodology

Session 3: Building a performance management system using BSC

•  Building a strategy map
•  Management by objectives based on BSC for units: establishing forms and usage

Session 4. Building a performance management system using BSC (cont.)

•  Managing and appraising individual performance: forms and usage
•  Establishing policy using BSC
•  Fundamental factors for successful implementation of BSC

Trainer's Profile

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nam Phuong
OCD Senior Consultant
Ms Nguyen Thi Nam Phuong, OCD Senior Consultant in the area of Organizational Development, Human Resource Management, Training Management, Project Management and Management Information Systems. She is also an expert in the field of Customer Service skills, Management and Leadership skills, Consulting and Teamwork skills. Phuong has delivered numerous training programs in these areas for clients such as the Office of the Government, Ministry of Planning and Investment, Ministry of Fisheries, Vietnam Textile and Garment Corporation (Vinatex), Vietnam Postal Services (VPS), member-companies of FPT Corporation, PVFC, Securities companies (VNDirect, Tan Viet and Gateway Securities), among others.
